Appliances Upgrade: A Coveted Home Improvement

A recent survey conducted by LG Electronics confirms what many homeowners already realize: appliance upgrades are one of the most desired home renovations. The place where people most want appliance upgrades is in the kitchen. A lot of people report dealing with old, outdated appliances, not having enough appliances, and just plain not having enough cooking and moving space, often due to the big, bulky appliances they currently have.

The best advice for those looking to upgrade their appliances is, number one, to really think about what items they actually need and will use. A lot of the newer appliances sound great and look impressive, but there’s no sense investing in them if they won’t get a lot of use. Secondly, homeowners shouldn’t feel pressured to buy a slew of new appliances all at once. Just buying one piece at a time, as budget allows, is a lot easier on the wallet.

While there are all kinds of newfangled products to consider, one of the most popular, right now, is induction cooking appliances. There are now stoves that combine burners for a larger cooking service and even sensor-controlled burners that can adjust their size and scope based on the size of the pan being used!

Also making waves are wall ovens, which can be controlled with an app on a Smartphone. The app allows users to do things like pre-heat their oven, adjust the temperature, set a timer, and more. They don’t even have to be at home to control their ovens, meaning they could leave food in the oven and automatically set it to start cooking an hour or so before they get home. Some of today’s high-tech ovens can even download and store recipes from the web for future use.

While the cooking fiends are excited about these new and innovative ovens, wine aficionados are raving about another product to hit the market recently: wine stations. Wine stations can control the temperature on up to four bottles of wine and then dispense the chosen wine exactly as requested by the user. Whether someone wants a small taste, a half glass, or a whole glass, the wine dispenser can dish out the perfectly portioned wine in mere seconds.

Other new trends include “high speed” ovens, which can make food a lot faster than the average oven, and double-duty, space saving appliances, such as refrigerators that can instantly be turned into freezers. As you can see, there are a lot of exciting new kitchen appliances currently available and soon to be available, so start making (and saving up for) your kitchen wish list now.
